Edit 2014: Several years later, I still get people asking for this wallpaper! To make it easier, go here if you want the wide screen version and go here for the normal screen. Note that I made these back when your average screen resolution wasn't very high. I recently reworked them a bit so that they'll look better on high res screens, but I can't guarantee they'll be without some fuzziness.
Took me about an hour to finish this one. Done entirely in Photoshop--except for the screenshot of Rivendell. Obviously.
Unfortunately, because of the TOS, I cannot post the wallpaper for download here. (The movie image used in it prevents me from posting it at all except as a screenshot.) If you'd like to use this wallpaper, feel free to let me know either here in the comments or by sending me a note. If you post your email address in the comments, I will hide it after I send the wallpaper just so that everyone who visits this page won't necessarily see it.
Edit 2012: It's been a few years since I made this and since then I've upgraded my computer to one with a much, much higher resolution than the one that I used in making this wallpaper. Therefore, be warned, it might not work well on higher resolution screens.
